John Lewis should soon be designing extensions and loft conversions because it is expanding into home improvement.
The branch keeps the organization that already runs Home Solutions, a reserving web page for tradespeople.
Last year, acquired domestic improvement firm Open in a £three.5 million pre-money deal.
The retailer will now integrate each of these services with what it describes as “a surely differentiated domestic improvement offer”.
“By developing a 21st century Home Improvement proposition in what’s currently a fragmented zone, clients will benefit from a cease-to-quit home development provider, which incorporates proposal, layout, task management, and execution,” John Lewis said of the circulate.
The newly combined Home Solutions will extend its insurance throughout Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, and Kent in the coming weeks.
Open manages huge-scale home improvement tasks, along with loft conversions and extensions. The enterprise also oversees the design and setup of bathrooms and kitchens.
Since its acquisition by John Lewis, the company has been running as a completely-owned subsidiary.
