Logansport residents will quickly be able to find out if their smoke detectors are correctly set up in the appropriate regions in their residences.
On Wednesday, the Logansport Board of Public Works and Safety directed Building Commissioner Deb Beattie and Fire Chief Bernie Mittica to paint collectively to check out houses for smoke detectors based on building lets in.

“We had nine fatalities in residence fires in 2018,” stated Kitchell. “We ought to do a better job of not only promoting proper smoke detector setup and practices but making sure that every home and businesses have functioning detectors within the proper locations.”
