Muslim own family attacked on Holi places Gurugram house on sale, says will return to UP

Days after a mob barged into their house in Dhumaspur village in Bhondsi and attacked them on Holi, the Muslim circle of relatives has decided to leave their house and pass lower back to their village, Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh.

The family hails from Panchi village in Bhagpat, some 72km from Gurugram. They had moved to Gurugram in 2005 and have been residing on rent till 2015.

The circle of relatives runs a furniture business in Badshahpur. “People are looking to politicize the incident, and we don’t need to make it a birthday celebration. We are fighting for justice and are thankful to folks who visited us and extended their support,” Dilshad said.
The contributors of the circle of relatives stated that the incident had affected the mental health of the children within the residence. Samina, a mom of six who became additionally injured within the assault, stated, “The youngsters are scared to assignment out of the residence. They have even refused to wait for the faculty and haven’t slept because of the incident. They maintain stress that the suspects will go back and burn them alive – something that they’d threatened to do before leaving that day. We are susceptible and helpless and cannot hazard our lives utilizing residing in this village.”
An altercation among the Muslim family and men from a neighboring village over cricket took a violent turn on Holi. At the same time, approximately 15-20 guys barged into the circle of relatives’ residence with sticks and rods. The mob thrashed and injured a minimum of 12 human beings inside the residence owned by Samina’s husband, Sajid Siddiqui. The others injured had been members of his extended family. According to them, the mob did not spare even children, who were allegedly pulled out of an almirah where they were hiding and beaten up.
One of the victims stated they did not wish to leave the region as they were doing well with their fixtures enterprise, but they’ve no longer been left with any choice but to leave the town. “There are the best two Muslim houses, and no help from locals. If we no longer compromise with the accused, they may ensure we do not stay peacefully,” stated Akhtar Siddique, one of Sajid’s brothers.
The city police, in the meantime, said they had given due protection to their own family, and a crew of police has been stationed outdoors at their house. “We have deployed one vehicle and six police employees spherical the clock. We will make sure the family gets justice. We will conduct truthful and fast research,” said Himanshu Garg, deputy police commissioner (south).
